Abha Verma is a Hindi author and teacher. She has a career spanning almost 40 years having taught in various illustrious schools in Lucknow and New Delhi. She retired after 20 years of service at St. Columba’s School, New Delhi in 2012 and since then has authored a textbook series that has been adopted by more than 100 schools across India. She has also co-authored Hindi grammar books. Her latest project is the retelling of the Ramayana in poetry titled Jai Siyaram. Over her career she has participated in several Kavi Sammellans, done voiceovers on news channels, as well as TV documentaries. Abha also translated B. Com textbooks to audio format and provided narration for visually impaired students. For her incredible work, dedication and service to the Hindi language, Abha Verma was awarded the"Sahasrabadi Hindi Award" (Millennium World Hindi Conference, 2000), as well as the "Human Rights Millennium Award (2000 by International Association of Educators of World Peace, United Nations)".
