Dr. Koustav Nag is a contemporary visual artist, printmaker, and researcher who holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Assam University, India. His academic and artistic endeavours focus on visual culture and socio-political issues inside society.He has advanced the field through studio-based research and practice, concentrating on experimental printmaking, installation, and transdisciplinary approaches. Dr. Nag has received fellowships and accolades from prestigious organisations, including the Japan Foundation (Tokyo Wonder Site), the World Bank (USA), the Ministry of Culture (Government of India), and Lalit Kala Akademi. His intellectual and artistic pursuits have been exhibited in academic forums, residencies, and exhibitions both within India and beyond. He consistently investigates themes of material history, site specificity, and cultural resistance through a combination of education, practice, and community-focused activities.
