Dr. Krupa Parmar

Dr. Krupa Parmar M.D. (Panchakarma) completed her B.A.M.S. from Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research, Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat and completed her M.D. in Panchakarma from the reputed Parul Institute of Ayurved (PIA), Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat. With a keen interest in refining her clinical and research skills, she carried out her post-graduate work in the Department of Panchakarma, where her academic approach has been marked by an effort to integrate classical Ayurvedic textual scholarship with contemporary pharmaceutical and molecular research methods. Among her notable contributions is the first molecular identification of probiotic strains in Ayurvedic Basti formulations through 16S rRNA gene sequencing, with deposition of the sequences in GenBank. With self-motivation and utmost academic interest, she has published articles in indexed journals and has presented her work through both oral and poster presentations during her post-graduation. Her primary interests lie in clinical research, academics and the scientific standardisation of Panchakarma, which she wishes to carry forward through practice, research and teaching.
