Dr. Rajarathinam Arunachalam

Rajarathinam Arunachalam is a Chairperson of, the School of Mathematical Sciences,Professor and Head Department of Statistics at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu state, India. He received his M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in Statistics from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu State, India. He was also conferred with a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Statistics by the Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat state, India. He previously taught as an Associate Professor at Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat state, India. His research interests include the Design of Experiments, Econometrics Modeling, Time Series Modeling, Applied Statistics, and Multivariate Statistical Modeling. He has thirty-two years of teaching and research experience. So far, he has guided eleven research scholars and published more than seventy research papers in national and international repute journals. He has also authored three books. He also completed one major research project on “Statistical Modeling on Production and Productivity of Major Crops,” sponsored by the University Grants Commission, Government of India, India.He is a life member ofthe International Journal of Agricultural Statistics, Indian Society of Agricultural Statistics, Gujarat Statistical Association, and Association of Agro-Meteorologists. He is an editor for the International Journal of Agricultural Statistics.
