Dr. Ravi Shanker Pareek

Dr. Ravi Shanker Pareek is a dedicated Post-Graduate Scholar in Shalakya Tantra at Parul Institute of Ayurved, Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat. He completed his undergraduate studies at MJF Medical College of Ayurveda, Harota, Jaipur affiliated with Dr Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur. His dissertation focuses on the management of Kaphaja Abhishyand (Acute Mucopurulent Conjunctivitis) using Darvyadi Eyedrops, integrating traditional knowledge with modern analytical and evidence-based approaches. Dr. Ravi Shanker has contributed to Ayurvedic research through publications in Scopus and DOAJ- indexed journals and has presented papers at national and international conferences. His academic journey has inspired him to explore the classical concepts of Netra Roga and their relevance in contemporary ophthalmic practice. His scholarly work particularly focuses on Abhishyand w.s.r. to Conjunctivitis, with an effort to understand and present the correlation between classical Ayurvedic descriptions and modern clinical concepts. Through this work, he aims to present the subject in a simple, systematic, clinically relevant, and academically useful manner for students, practitioners, and researchers of Shalakya Tantra.
