Dr. Sunil Kumar

Dr. Sunil Kumar is a distinguished academic leader and economist with over two decades of experience spanning higher education, research, and institutional governance. He currently serves as Dean at the International Institute of Technology, Design and Management (IITDM), Visakhapatnam, following a decade-long tenure at Alliance University, Bangalore, where he held roles including Deputy Registrar (Examinations), Area Chair for General Management, and Founding Head of the Department of Economics. A prolific researcher, Dr. Kumar has authored three books, contributed to numerous edited volumes, and published extensively in Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals on themes ranging from sustainable development and financial instability to migration, economics and digital innovation. His work has earned him three patents and two copyrights in India and the United Kingdom, alongside prestigious honours such as the Pan-Asian Research & Innovation Excellence Award and Dynamic Edu-Leader of the Year. An active voice in global academic circles, he has held visiting and adjunct professorships at the Financial University of Russia, Moscow, and Elite Innovation College Cambridge, UK, and serves on editorial boards and professional bodies including the Academy of Management (USA) and the World Economic Association (UK).
